Mona Lisa: A Great Example Of Valuable Artwork

Mona Lisa, a world’s most-famous oil painting on a poplar wood panel was designed by universal genius or Italian painter, poet, engineer, draftsman, musician, architect, anatomist and writer Leonardo da Vinci.


It is a half-body portrait of a woman who sits in  an upright posture along folded arms. The distant landscape in the backdrop of reserved lady posture has a specific gaze of the observer. 



A peaceful charm and mysterious smile welcome the observer for a silent communication.


The major attractions are luxurious curves in the sitting lady dress and hair. In the entire portrait, especially in the shapes of rivers and valleys behind Mona Lisa there is use of sfumato painting technique in the form of fabulous shading art.


The great art of a smile shows an outstanding link between the amazing ideas of painter’s and his humanity, nature and long vision.


The calm and simplicity in the pyramid design carries a special space in painting.



The same color and glow of neck, face and hands is an example of great practice.
  


The use of natural shades with the mixture of green, brown and black colors in light tones provides the better extend to the darker elements like hair and dress.


The alive appearance of a woman is an unusual measure of the painter’s art, especailly outlines like corners of the mouth and eyes is chief attractions as the perfect use of sfumato technique.
  


Leonardo da Vinci started his great creativity in Florence around 1503 or 1504. The portrait achieves the fame with its theft history on 21 Aug 1911 and several times attack.


Currently, it is under the safe protection of bulletproof glass case which also offers it climate controlled conditions.
